Hi and welcome to "Defy Destiny...", a.k.a. the Seiya and Usagi Mailing List homepage! Watashi wa Lionna desu. I started the Seiya and Usagi ML many months ago after seeing the Star series from a fansub. I was almost immediately an avid fan of the S&U pairing and was disappointed when I couldn't find a mailing list that had the pair! And so I started the ML that is still quite small. I'm looking for new members so feel free to join! For more information go to the Seiya&Usagi page!

Why "defy destiny..."?
I chose this phrase "defy destiny and follow your heart" while I worked on making logos/banners for myself and friends. When it came time to make the Seiya&Usagi ML logos, I couldn't figure out what was missing. Eventually I realized that I should add in a catch-phrase to sum up their relationship. Within a few tries I came up with it. "Defying destiny" relates to that if Seiya and Usagi ended up together -- are to end up together -- it'd be going against what they and we know as the future and destiny. There's Crystal Tokyo, Chibi-Usa, Neo-Queen Serenity, and Neo-King Endymion, and all the future vilians....! And that is supposed to be destiny. That and that Usagi and Mamoru are to always be together as soul-mates.
I've not *recently*, but within the past year, come to really be a bit more distant around love -- even if I still write some romance stories. I don't believe much in the soul-mate thing anymore, unforunately, and it's made me rebel a bit. Usagi "following her heart" to go to Seiya would be pretty much wrecking all ties and soul-mate bonds with Mamoru and hence destroying the set destiny.
So, there you have it. The main reason(s) behind "Defy destiny...".
